Wrestlemania 32 Results

"Welcome to WrestleMania!" came the tagline and once again a racuous crowd bared witness to plenty of high-flying, no-holds barred action on what is the biggest night of the year in sports entertainment.

This year's extravaganza saw over 101,000 pack into the AT&T Stadium - home of the NFL's Dallas Cowboys for the 32nd edition's of wrestling's own SuperBowl.

The WWE World Heavyweight Championship changed hands, as Triple H proved unable to halt Roman Reigns' rise to the top of the company, while The Undertaker made it 23-1 in his Hell in a Cell encounter against Shane McMahon - whose death-defying leap from the top of the cage stole the show.

Speaking of stealing the show, the WWE Women's Championship match did precisely that, as Charlotte held off both Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch to emerge victorious, while Brock Lesnar and Dean Ambrose went toe-to-toe in a street fight - until only one man was left standing.

Elsewhere, there were a host of legendary returns - including The Rock, Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold Steve Austin, while Snoop Dogg and Shaquille O'Neal got in on the act for good measure.

There were also tables, ladders, chairs and plenty other weapons on hands when things turned from feisty to downright nasty, so if you did miss a beat, then check out all the latest results, reaction and action as it happened in Dallas...

Shaq at Mania

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal made a shock appearance during WWE Wrestlemania in Dallas on Sunday night.

The former LA Lakers center, who stands at over seven feet, entered into the Andre Memorial Battle Royal alongside fellow giants Big Show and Kane.

And he fared better than a lot of other non-wrestlers who have made cameo appearances on the corporation’s shows previously.

He even managed to eliminate one of his opponents, Damien Sandow, before being tossed over the top rope himself alongside Big Show.

An unlikely namecheck at Wrestlemania

Ask any defender who has ever played against Bobby Zamora, and they will confirm he’s a bit of a handful.

Now seeing out his career at Brighton, the 35 year-old former Tottenham and West Ham striker has spent most of the last two decades manhandling big, grunting centre-backs. In some respects, you could say the former England international has made a living out of wrestling with his opponents.

Even so, we had no idea Zamora’s physical style had made him famous in WWEcircles.

See what we’re on about here.

Stone Cold, Foley and Michaels return

This was the moment that three of wrestling’s biggest names stood side-by-side in front of over 100,000 fans at Wrestlemania.

Childhood heroes for plenty, Stone Cole Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels and Mick Foley graced the entrance ramp together as they gave the crowd a rush of nostalgia.

The trio’s unexpected return came at the end of the tag team match between the League of Nations and The New Day.

Brit star Wade Barrett declared that there are not three people in the world who can defeat the stable.

And that’s when Michaels, Foley and Austin made their arrivals, sending the watching Dallas crowd into delirium.

Behind the scenes at Wrestlemania 32

There’s no doubt about it: Wrestlemania 32 was a big show.

Actually, scratch that. It wasn’t ‘big’. It was huge; enormous; colossal; gargantuan… there aren’t really enough words in the thesaurus to do justice to WWE’s night of the year.

80,000 screaming fans in Texas. A new WWE Heavyweight Champion. John Cena teaming up with The Rock. An old man diving off a 20-foot high cage… it was EPIC.

But that was all stuff that happened in (or at least near) the ring. You’ve already seen all that. What about the stuff that was going on AWAY from the cameras?

Take a look right here
